WINGRAVE COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION
Wingrave Community Association promotes community activities within the
villages and manages the Community Centre. It also acts as the
supporting body for many of the groups which meet there and whose
details will be found in this Directory. Its Council and Officers are
elected at the Annual General Meeting each June.

A varied programme of social events is organised by the Association,
including barbecues in the summer, bingo, visiting theatres, the
Christmas Dinner & Dance and Social Evenings every Friday from 8:30
pm in the Ferris Bar.
The Community Centre is available for hire for Club and personal
events, full details are available from the Bookings Secretary. The
Association will run a bar for events, contact the Bar Manager.
Social Evenings

Ferris Bar of the Community Centre. A different real ale every week, a
selection of wines and single malt whiskies, the usual bar selection of
drinks and free nibbles. Everyone welcome, just drop in and enjoy some
good company. Special events organised, details of which are in the
Communiqué.
Communiqué
The Association publishes the Communiqué, a monthly newsletter
of general interest, which is delivered free to all households in
Wingrave and Rowsham. The editors are:

The Village Diary is a central source of information about coming
events. Diary entries for the next two months are published in the
Communiqué, the full Diary is delivered monthly to the
secretaries of clubs and societies.
Community Grants Scheme
The Grants Scheme provides financial assistance for projects or events
which benefit the local community. More information, scheme rules and
an application form are available from:

Community Association Transport Service
CATS is a transport service provided by volunteer drivers for people
without a car and who are unable to use public transport to get to
doctors’ surgeries, hospital and other essential places. CATS cannot
take you to airports, etc. To arrange a lift, for which a small charge
is made, telephone one of the following giving as much notice as
possible:

Meals on Wheels
Hot lunches are delivered to anyone in need, on either a temporary or
permanent basis, on Tuesday and Thursday every week. The meals are a
range of traditional food, with pudding (and custard!) and they cost
£2.50. If you would like to receive the meals then please contact
