of the Parish Council since l894.
- 1894
- Wingrave with Rowsham Parish Council inaugurated 4th December 1894.
- 1895
- Yearly election of Councillors. Protests on lack of heat and light
for Council Meetings in the Church Rooms and removal of furniture by the Vicar.
Review of Parish Charities. Repair of footpaths. Appointment of Parish
Constables only "fit and proper persons to apply".

- Telegraph Office opened in the village.
- Parish Council Meetings open to public.
- l897
- Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee celebrated - dinner and tea for all
residents. "The evening was spent in a most enjoyable manner with sports on the
village green".

- Muddy state of the pond.
- 1899
- Two year election of Councillors
- Lord Rothschild proposed a collection be made for widows and orphans
of the Transvaal War. £4.l7s.3d raised.

- Three year election of Councillors started.

- King Edward VII Coronation celebrated.

the Moat, Church and War Memorial.
- Parish Constables not appointed for the duration of the war because
sufficient Home Guards & Special Constables live in the village

- Complaints from residents about heavy lorries and skips speeding
through the village.
- Recycling Centre opened at McIntyre Schools.
- Collage Group successfully launched.
- Seats donated by cricket club for Recreation Ground.
- Temporary Portakabin erected at Wingrave Park as a changing room.

- Wingrave Park handed over to Recreation Committee for day to day
running. (Environmental group willing to advise on planted areas).

held in May 1995.
- Representatives of the Czech Republic invited to Wingrave for
